• Meet Wen Waddell: A Visionary Leader

Dedicated to Serving Oregon with Integrity and Passion

I became a proud Oregonian 2009. My first Job was working for the Linn-Benton School District.

In Wen's Professional History she has supervised, Wen has enjoyed public service jobs until gaining her higher edcuation with the goal of going forward for larger groups of individuals. Prepared to oversee more than one-thousand individuals as Governor, Wen motivates, inspires and encourages positive change in any atmosphere Wen ecnounters. " I always encourage genuine effort and empathy"-Wen Waddell. Educated in Law, Amendments, our Constitution, Oregon Statutes and our Justice Systems Policies and Procedures, Wen is more than prepared to take her ethical journey as your Governor. Wen will dive into her duties involving Criminal Justice matters eagerly also.

You need Wendy, not another bureaucrat, to hit the ground running, not using taxes as a way to get money. The homeless in our state need to be talked to, rehabilitated, housed, monitored, and medicated if needed. When veterans are coming in my office, saying 'thank you for their easy to afford apartment with ammenities', when highschool students are thanking me for giving them the opportunity to live alone, making and saving money for themselves, having one job, I will feel like I have done part of my job for Oregon.

Oregonians, you need so much more.

I am here just a fiercly for small business' as I am for each individual Oregonians survival.

    About Wen

    About Wen

Hello, my name is Wen Waddell and I'm running to be your Governor of Oregon, because I know what it means to struggle. I know what resources and opportunities are lacking here for single citizens and what it takes to rise in our state. Life is not easy here anymore. I moved here in 2009 with three bags to my name, no money, searching for opportunity. I worked 9 jobs in one year, 3 jobs in one week, went to two food giveaways a week, used every social service available including Worksource Oregon to find employment, yet, I still had an empty fridge. Housing lists need to open, we need manufacturing jobs all over our state, assembling goods we as Oregonians believe in. We need language immersions courses for our students among other valuable resources and to encourage strong teachers and medical professionals to move to Oregon, not from it. I want to go back to the basic foundational values we all believed in. I will communicate and work hard for you. Let’s get our camping sites more inexpensive, our teachers paid better, our police and social workers respect and let’s make Oregon: One Oregon in Opportunity.

  • Wen’s Outlook

All individuals are inherently worthy of the tools, guidance, and opportunities necessary to realize their potential and to lead fulfilling lives. They don't need a ton of handouts, they need real chances and opportunities that amount to something.

Equity means ensuring that every person receives what they need to flourish, succeed, and live with dignity and joy.

  • Wen's Worldview

Raised in a blended Hispanic and European American household, and growing up in the, almost, 80% Hispanic area of Santa Barbara County in Santa Maria, California,Wen grew up embracing diverse perspectives and views. This foundation inspires her commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to meaningful opportunities. We need to find answers that fit everyone, Oregon's immgrational descendants also are included in that. New and old Oregonians should feel heard like they have a family, a leader, a Governor.
